PGPD Implements Automated Speed Enforcement Program Within County School Zones


Prince George’s County, Maryland…Prince George’s County will start the operation of its Automated Speed Enforcement Program on Monday, August 22, 2011, within designated county school zones.
The Automated Speed Enforcement Program is intended to promote pedestrian safety, while deterring excessive speeding.  The program will use speed monitoring systems to photograph speed violations in the designated school zones. 
Members of the media are encouraged to attend this event to assist in informing and educating drivers about this safety enforcement program.
