Police Investigate Murder in Capitol Heights



The Prince George’s County Homicide Unit is investigating the murder of 18-year-old Marckel Norman Ross. On Tuesday, September 11th, at 6:50 a.m., officers responded to the 6100 block of Old Central Avenue for a report of a man down. Officers found Ross, of the 400 block of Abel Avenue in Capitol Heights, unresponsive and suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Ross was a junior at Central High School and was walking to school at the time he was shot.

A cash reward is being offered for the tip that leads the arrest and indictment of the suspect(s).

A cash reward of up to $25,000 is available.
