PGPD Arrests Four in 2010 Shooting Now Ruled Murder


The Prince George’s County Police arrested four suspects for the November 22, 2010 fatal shooting of 29 year-old Melvin Pate.  Pate was found inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound in the 2100 block of Brooks Drive in Capitol Heights.  Pate, of the 200 block of 58th Street, Northeast Washington, died on November 8, 2012, due to complications related to the gunshot wound.  The manner of death has since been ruled a homicide.

On November 13, 2012, police officers arrested 22 year-old Jermaine Hailes of the 4100 block of Massachusetts Avenue, Southeast Washington, and 21 year-old Ciree Petty of the 2100 block of Brooks Drive in Capitol Heights.  On November 14, 2012, police officers arrested 22 year-old Ramel Sanders of the 11800 block of Birchview Court in Clinton, and 22 year-old Mark Anderson of the 2300 block of Hope Circle in Waldorf.  The four suspects have been charged with first and second degree murder and related charges.
