PGPD Releases Video of Non-Contact Shooting in Beltsville

Updated September 12, 2013:  The Prince George's County Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Patrick Charles Obutu of Beltsville.  He's charged with reckless endangerment and handgun charges in connection with this non-contact shooting in Beltsville. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Prince George's County Police Department's Regional Investigation Division - Northern Region at 301-699-2601.  Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS.  A cash reward is being offered. 





The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in identifying the suspect seen in the above surveillance video.  He’s wanted in connection with a non-contact shooting in Beltsville.  Detectives would also like to speak with the victims who ran from the scene.

On September 3, 2013, at about 1:20 am, patrol officers were called to the 11400 block of Cherry Hill Road.  The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect got out of a car and began shooting at a group of men standing outside of a strip mall. No one was hurt.  The car is described as a blue four-door sedan.
