Detectives to Canvass Seat Pleasant Community in Homicide Investigation


Prince George’s County Police detectives will canvass a Seat Pleasant community this evening to pass out Crime Solvers flyers in connection with a homicide that occurred yesterday. The victim is 21-year-old Keaway Lafonz Ivy of 18th Street in Southeast Washington. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.

On April 1, 2015, at about 10:30 pm, officers responded to the 400 block of Eastern Avenue for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Ivy in a parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The canvass will begin in the 400 block of Eastern Avenue starting at 6:00 pm.
