Detectives to Canvass Landover Hills Neighborhood in Homicide Investigation


The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit will canvass a Landover Hills neighborhood this evening where a man was shot and killed last week.

On September 9, 2015, at about 5:05 am, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Annapolis Road and Cooper Lane for the report of an assault. When they arrived, they found 46-year-old Carlos Earl Clayton of Landover Hills outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Detectives will pass out Crime Solvers flyers seeking information in this investigation. The canvass is scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm in the 3900 block of Cooper Lane. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.
