Detectives to Canvass Strip Mall in Shooting Investigation


Robbery Unit detectives plan to canvass a Suitland strip mall this evening as they search for the suspects who shot an employee during a robbery. That victim has life-threatening injuries.

On January 22, 2016, shortly after 5:00 pm, patrol officers were called to a market in the 4700 block of Suitland Road for the report of an armed robbery. The preliminary investigation reveals two suspects came into the store with handguns. During the course of the robbery, the suspects shot a store employee. The suspects then ran from the store.

Detectives will pass out Crime Solvers flyers this evening seeking information in this investigation. The canvass is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm in the 4700 block of Suitland Road.
