PGPD Investigating Fatal Crash in Clinton

Our Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Clinton. The victim is 30-year-old Brandan Sneed of Bannister Circle in Waldorf.

On May 16, 2016, at about 7:45 pm, patrol officers were called to the area of Old Alexandria Ferry Road near Shapiro Drive for a crash involving four vehicles.

The preliminary investigation reveals Sneed was traveling eastbound on Old Alexandria Ferry Road when, for reasons which are under investigation, he lost control of his car and ultimately struck another car head on in the westbound lane. Sneed’s car also struck a third car. Debris from the crashes hit a fourth vehicle. Sneed was taken to the hospital where he died on May 17th. A passenger in another vehicle suffered critical injuries. A driver and two additional passengers were also hurt. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
